Michigan Performance Excellence is partnering with The Lean Six Sigma Company to offer Green Belt and Black Belt virtual training class starting on Feb 5, 2024.

Boost your career with a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt training! How?

  1. A Green Belt or Black Belt certification sets you apart from your peers…more and more organizations are asking for Lean Six Sigma certified people because of their unique skill set
  2. You will be able to solve any type of problem in your organization…these are unique skills that you will use for the rest of your career.
  3. Lean Six Sigma uses data and a proven structured problem-solving methodology …thus making it highly successful vs the traditional trial and error approach.
  4. Learn new skills…besides problem solving, you will also learn business acumen, project management, data analysis, and change management skills.
  5. Anybody can do this…the topics are covered in such a practical manner that is easy to understand for anybody who attends the training.

Are you looking to accelerate your career prospects?  If so, this training is for you!

Who should attend the course?

Anybody with a desire for quality, processes, and performance excellence can excel and thrive in the training. If you want to learn how to reduce process cycle times, and/or improve the quality of your work through less errors and defects, the Green Belt or Black training is for you!

Green belt vs Black belt Training

The difference between a Green Belt and Black Belt is the use of statistics in solving problems. Green Belts tend to solve problems with more hands-on, easy, and simple to use tools. Black Belts work on more complex projects with more in-depth data analysis and statistics. No prerequisites are required for either!

If you like to discuss the training program, further feel free to give Edwin Boon a call at 612-445-2370 or email him at edwin@theleansixsigmacompany.com

Lean/Six Sigma

The need to improve organizational efficiency and productivity has never been greater. Most of us simply cannot attend in-person training to learn new skills and techniques to improve our organization’s performance.  That is why we are thrilled to partner with The Lean Six Sigma Company (TLSSC) and its sister company The Productivity Company to bring these concepts to our members in a convenient, virtual, efficient, and cost-effective way.

To facilitate learning Lean Six Sigma remotely, TLSSC has launched online courses for Lean Practitioner, Green Belt and Black Belt – and we are thrilled to bring these to MIPEx at an affordable investment!

Don’t have time but for a full Belt certification series but want to learn a specific Lean Six Sigma tool like 5S, Kaizen, A3 Management, Value Stream Mapping or others?  Also, possible!  These online courses can be consumed individually or as a series, and all are relatively short in duration. The need to improve organizational efficiency, productivity, and operations has never been greater.

Achieving Performance Excellence is not a goal that must be accomplished only once, but is a cyclical process of continuous improvement. After all, we live in an age of exponential change, wherein the threat of stagnation is ever-present and the road to success is forged through constant innovation.

CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

To avoid stagnation and pave our way towards the future, we have to identify the improvement potential in our processes on a daily basis. Organizations need to constantly strive for perfection in the way we work. This is the mindset of continuous improvement that is central to both the Baldrige Excellence Framework and the Lean Six Sigma methodology.

WHAT IS LEAN SIX SIGMA?

Every organization strives to satisfy – and preferably exceed – customer demand, all while performing at maximum efficiency and operating at the lowest possible costs. The Lean Six Sigma methodology is a data-driven and proven methodology that enables organizations to achieve these goals. It does so through a structured approach of identifying improvement potential, eliminating wasteful activities, and minimizing the chance of defects. This approach in turn, is divided in daily initiatives and project-based initiatives, each of which contain specific methods, tools and techniques. Examples of these are the DMAIC project method, kaizen events, and value stream mapping.

BROAD APPLICABILITY

What sets Lean Six Sigma apart from comparable methodologies is its exceptionally broad applicability. Essentially, it can be used to improve any process that can be repeated. As such, it isn’t limited to manufacturing, but can also be applied to virtually any process within the service industry as well. Whether it is improving the speed and efficiency of an assembly line process or the providing of customer service, Lean Six Sigma can be applied to make an improvement.

A CULTURE OF CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

While Lean Six Sigma offers tried-and-true techniques and project methods, its greatest strengths are creating insight and structure. The methodology creates clarity on how work is performed, while locating where inefficiencies lie. Not just for a select layer in the organization, but for all employees involved. Work is structured in such a way that solving issues and making improvements become daily routine. And because routines create habit and habits influence culture, Lean Six Sigma essentially fosters a culture of responsibility.
